Eben Pagan says: “Less is More” about his Big Package…

by TroyNotes on May 17, 2009

Part 1 of 5 of the notes from the great interview between Eben Pagan and Frank Kern up on Kern’s blog.

It’s about an hour. Why should you listen?  If you’re not familiar with him- Eben Pagan, he is one of the more sophisticated and detailed marketers I’m aware of.  A solid strategist with an eye for detail and solid results; and a gift for teaching.  His day job is helping men become better men.  Solid results you probably want to replicate:  Eben Pagan has 80 employees, made $20 Million last year , is now up to $25 Million a year..of course he doesn’t get to keep all of that all from info-products and related seminars.  Frank Kern is a marketing genius and frequently entertaining.  But if you don’t have time, this is an outline of the key points.

Key Insights from the first half of the talk:

  • 3 killer impactful things outweigh 12-15 sort of valuable things.
  • Give away your best stuff for free…as even if you give it away, it won’t hurt.

PRELAUNCH STRATEGY: Give away the BEST of the BEST….for FREE

RESULTS: 30K opt-ins first week, in the midst of about 6 major launches.

RECIPE of Virals a.k.a. Magnets:

  • 1 video of the very best stuff, worth $50-$100 …FREE.
  • 1 downloadable report with 2 most valuable ideas.
  • 1 teleseminar answering market objections and in a conversation

WHY?

  • Hits buyers from multiple modalities, and shows you in different mindsets
  • Helps get partners to email their lists as the value is undeniable.
  • Helps generate reciprocity and positive expectancy for future.
  • Cracks the social firewall for people not familiar.

Troy, thanks for an objective and organized summary presentation of the interview.
You did a great job in outlining the key points of the interview.
I just have a question for you: as an internet marketer, have you practically applied the things that were discussed during the interview? If so, how has it worked for your products?
